Description:

The CNC milling machine simulator is a multimedia application aimed at providing an introductory platform for novice mechanical engineering professionals to delve into the fundamentals of programming milling operations using standard (ISO) G-code. Its core functionality revolves around the syntactic analysis (parsing) of control program codes to construct a visual representation of cutting tool paths in a three-dimensional space.

Key features of the application include code editing for milling machine control programs, file manipulation capabilities, adjustment of cutting tool geometrical parameters, block-wise execution of control program sequences, three-dimensional visualization of tool movements within the machine's working area, basic representation of machined part surfaces, processing mode calculations, and a concise guide on G-code utilization.

However, the application comes with certain limitations which include reduced accuracy in modeling cutting surfaces, inability to incorporate polygonal geometries as workpieces, and a simplified representation of machine tooling components.
